You can emphasize the focal point further by using elements such as lines to lead the viewer's eye to it.
Impressionistic and abstract landscape photography ideas also use contrast to emphasize a particular detail of a scene or enhance the forms in an image. For example, an impressionistic photo of a seascape can use the vivid │bright green of the grass on an island in the foreground to contrast with the tranquility of the sea in the background. Or an abstract photo can use the interplay │relationship between light and shadows in a photo taken at dusk to reduce the trees in a forest to their basic shapes.
The point of view or angle at which the picture is taken │shot can also be an important technique for both impressionistic and abstract photographers. For example, a photographer can climb a hill to take a picture of a forest canopy in which the tops of the trees look like a sea of leaves with a mountain in the background.
