The people who make-up any market you're involved with are extremely important, and you will perform better when you know something about them. Understanding the audience that you are selling to is a big part of making sure that you make money on the internet.
Never listen to anyone who advocates taking content that's not yours and using it. Never allow any person to urge you to use content that someone else has already published online. There are those who use sales short cuts like taking content and selling it to more than one person at a time. Don't partake in this.You need to make sure everything you write on your site isn't published anywhere else. Never take an article or piece of content that someone else has published, even if you did pay money for the rights to put that content up. You're better off using content for your site and for your products that nobody else has published. This will cause you to stand alone amongst your competitors. You would be better off hiring a person to write your content so that it's unique than to try and save a few bucks using content that's already on someone else's site.
If someone refers to himsself as guru, personally I'd turn around and walk away. They're really not hard to find, and we're talking about people who claim they are a guru. The pitch is the same, and they will tell you that they have used the same methods that they want you to buy. Be sure to research these marketers and do take your time with it. Not all people will ever attain that kind of success. You have to take responsibility and check them out very well. Try to find someone who you think is independent and can verify things about that person. If you can't find anybody to give you honest and independent testimonials keep your money for yourself.
There are a lot of mistakes that get made by new internet marketers. Plus, very many of those marketers will never have any success at all. It's nothing unusual for people to fail at something, and then say it's rigged or doesn't work or other excuses. Don't fall for the ego trap. There is a lot to learn, especially when you are just starting out!
