Make your own Charm Bracelet

Charm bracelets are one of the most meaningful jewelry you can wear. By using trinkets of assorted shapes, designs and color, you can easily express your innermost feelings and ideas. Channel the creativity in you by making your own charms. Not only does it look really stylish, but it also adds to your uniqueness and individuality.

Getting started
First off, you will need to purchase your materials first. Look for a nice crafts shop you can buy from. These kinds of shops are found in the mall and even online. Aside from the price, consider also the designs of the trinkets. Don't forget to look for shops that offer a great deal.

Then, you have to decide what kind of material you'd like to use as a chain. Some crafts shop already has these ready-made chains made from various materials, so you can make gold charms or silver charms.

But if you decided to have the chains made from other materials such as threads or yarn, you can grab the color of your choice and braid them all the way. Ribbons and laces may be used as the chain, and it gives the charm a girly touch.

Remember to measure around your wrist to see if it fits you. Don't make it too loose or it will come off easily, but not too tight either; you don't want your hands to turn purple and disrupt your blood circulation.

Choosing the trinkets
Now, here's the fun part. It's time to pick the kinds of trinkets or beads you want to attach in your charm. It will be better if the trinkets and beads are bound by a certain theme. You can have stars, hearts and flowers as your trinkets to make it girly. If you want a nature-inspired charm bracelet, put leaves and animals in earth tones.

To see if the trinkets and beads go well together, lay them out on the table and arrange them. With this, it will be easier for you to see if the trinkets complement each other and if they are a good combination.

Putting it together
Here's the tricky and technical part. You will be needing creativity, patience and a whole lot of diligence for this. If you are using materials along the lines of threads, ribbons and yarns, it will be easier for you to put them together. Minimal effort is required since all you have to do is sew them or simply glue them.

But if you are using metals such as silver sterling charms, you will need pliers to put them together. You will also need metal eye pins in order to join the trinkets to the metal chains. Bear in mind to be extra careful in order not to get wounded. Take your time. If you can't do it, ask a close friend to teach you to put it together.

Creating charm bracelets are not really a matter of just being pretty. It is all about you and letting your creativity shine over your charm.
