What You Must Know About Thailand's Flower Festival

Thailand is a world-renowned tourist destination. It is home to some of the finest beach resorts and ancient Asian architecture. The Thai culture is also one of the well preserved in the world.

But there is more to Thailand than its pristine beaches and cultural wonders. People may be too familiar with the country, but they are missing something extraordinary about it - its flowers.

Graceful blooms are all over Thailand, especially during the month of December to March. Anyone can smell the natural fragrance that these flowers give off and feel the freshness of the ambiance. Along with the new petals are the business establishments that also bloom in the streets. They sell the simplest, like lilies, to the most expensive and luxurious, like the tulips. Thailand flower delivery is also getting busier during this time of the year.

But why are Thais so obsessed with flowers? For a majority, each bloom signifies a very important meaning and they have a high respect for that. Lilies, for example, symbolize humility and inner strength, and people buy these to raise their self-esteem. Chrysanthemums are considered as royal flowers, and they can bring luck and prosperity; that is why these are often given as presents during holiday season and the New Year. Daises, on the other hand, signify friendship, and they are perfect for birthdays.

But not all flowers have a constructive meaning. Some may mean sorrow and pain. For instance, a Fly Orchids can mean error, while a French Marigold can denote jealousy . Many people would not also include a Deep Red Carnation flower in their bouquet because it indicates a poor heart, and the Columbine Red, which means anxious and trembling .

But whatever each flower indicates, their beauty are worth a thousand words during the bloom season in Thailand. In fact, Thai people hold an event to be thankful the beautiful flowers in their country, and it is called the Flower Festival, which is one of the main attractions in the country.

During this event, people would adorn their homes with flowers. Business establishments will also put lucky blooms on their doors and windows. Then a big parade on the street happens in the morning. There are floats covered with different species of flowers that put the audience in awe, and most of these are designed as mobile gardens. A band and a cultural dance troop follow the parade and they entertain the bystanders with their performances. Even up to this time, people are still busy purchasing lilies, roses, and jasmines on flower shops. Thailand flower delivery gets even busier in their task.

Other main attractions during the flower festival are the landscapes showcased by garden architects and the food fest, where tourists will have a chance to taste some of Thailand's most mouth-watering dishes. There are more cultural shows at nighttime.

For more information on well known flowers found in Thailand or if you want to know more about the flower festival, you can visit the Thailand Florist website. You can also check some details about Thailand flower delivery there.
