Major factors that make computer run slow

All computers decelerate with use. The more you install and uninstall software, add and delete files, modify personal preferences and modify pc settings, the more you leave a trail of file leftovers, fragmented drives, registry conflicts, and errors that slow down PC performance.

Even a brand new PC could show premature signs of "age" -- that is, longer processing times, system crashes, and applications that lock up inexplicably. The annoyed PC owner could give up on an old computer with completely good hardware to buy a brand new unit -- just to repeat the cycle.

Spyware and adware, inadequate memory, plus faulty hardware are usually blamed for waning performance.

But whereas spy ware's a factor in many PC slowdowns, it is hardly ever the only factor. And whereas your system could have a great deal of RAM, it still will not suffice if your system manages memory badly.

|As} for|Regarding} the age of your hardware, there isn't any physical cause why it ought to run any slower than the day you bought it.

So what is the really the culprits of those problem?

Based on a recent study of more than half a million computers, the top three reasons why your pc run slow are:

1. Registry Errors, Clutter, and Fragmentation
Your Windows registry comprises crucial information for everything on your system, including user profiles, software settings, hardware settings, and so on.

As you engage in your regular computing daily activities, the registry steadily fills with clutter and begins to spawn errors. Why is that? Because long after you have uninstalled a download, references to that download remain in the registry, leaving Windows to cope with invalid paths.

During start up, Windows tries to load all of the missing drivers, files, and applications still listed within the registry, making the boot process something like the hunt for particular phone numbers in a poorly organized address book.

Compounding the problem, your registry will get fragmented much like your disc drive. Because the registry must be loaded into memory every time you start your computer, the bigger and more fragmented it is, the longer you will wait for your PC to undergo its paces.

Many applications load themselves partially whenever you start your PC. This makes them appear more responsive when you launch them, however with so many applications starting at once and tapping system resources, boot times and overall performance suffer.

You may wish to preload a couple of favourite programs for quick access, but not all those seldom-used utilities queuing up in your taskbar.

2. Bad Internet Settings

ninety % of PCs owners have not optimized their internet settings. Should you're among this group, you are losing bandwidth, and maybe even allowing malware to pirate portions of your bandwidth to run in your PC. Unless you optimize the way your pc communicates with the network, downloads will probably take longer than they need to, and internet pages may be slow to load -- even over a fast connection.

3. Hardrive Errors

Over 26% of all computers have harddrive errors. These degrade performance and may prevent you from saving or retrieving files. Worse, harddisk errors may be a sign of imminent mechanical failure that would cost you all of your data.

Nearly all of the above-mentioned PC issues could be fixed instantly, easily, and inexpensively with PC Tune-up application that will repair your registry, get rid of garbage files, remove malware, defrag your hard drive, enhance your internet settings, and prevent non-important applications from running in the background.
