If you are lucky enough to be furnished with a wedding list, and one that doesn’t just have some very dull presents left on it when you come round to purchasing something for the soon to be happy couple, then you are probably extremely lucky. With more and more people living together before they get married, there is often no need for a wedding list filled with gravy boats and tea sets. Whilst it may seem great that this leaves you free to get something you think they might really want, when it comes down to actually finding something special and unique for their big day, the process can be far harder than it seems in theory.
Should you be buying from a list, if it is a very young couple, they might very well need the items they present to you and will possibly appreciate those more than any other. However, some older couples or ones who have lived together for a while might create lists as a formality, so even if you have a list, it is sometime best to go your own route and get something unique such as personalised wedding gifts.
However, when looking for wedding gifts, make sure you bear in mind that you are buying them for both the bride and groom. Understanding which wedding gifts they will both truly like is often the hardest part and so make sure you put in plenty of thought into ensuring that you are not just aiming at one of them rather than both.
Personalised wedding gifts are often the best direction to take simply because they can be useful or fun, whilst also being a good reminder of what should be the happiest day of their lives. So try looking for fun or interesting items they will cherish and that you can very much make personal.
