Egypt Protestors To Form Council To Talk With Military

Some organizers of the protests in Egypt said on Saturday they were trying to form a council to lead the protests and deal with the military now in control.
The purpose of such a move is to establish an authority to direct the "revolution" during the transitional period of the country in the wake of former President Hosni Mubarak's resignation, they told reporters in Cairo's Tahrir Square, main stage of protests toppling Mubarak in the past 19 days.
The council will also responsible for calling for or calling off protests depending on the changing situation, they said.
Meanwhile, the state television reported that head of Egypt's military council were discussing the option of redeployment of police with the Interior Minister.
In another development, unconfirmed reports said Egypt's Information Minister Anas El-Fekky had been placed under house arrest.
Egyptian authorities said earlier Saturday that they were investigating accusations against former Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif, former Minister of Interior Affairs Habib El Adly and Information Minister Anas El Fekky.
Al Arabia TV reported the military had banned 43 members of the current and ex-government from leaving the country.
Anas El Fekky, who retained his position in the new cabinet, is under house arrest and did not show up for a flight to London early Saturday.
