Forex Trading and Stock trading - the similarities and differences

There is no doubt that foreign exchange market is huge. It presents huge opportunities to everyone to make money. If you are ready to take risks and can prepare for difficult market situations, then you stand a great chance of making money from this market. the important thing is to prepare yourself for unexpected market situations in a way that you will exploit those situations and will actually make money or avoid loss when others will be losing quickly.

The forex trading resembles the stock trade in some areas; however, there are huge differences in some other areas. The main different is the trade elements. In stock market, you base your trading on purchase and sale of shares. The shares are division of capital in the company and the traders buy and sell them in order to make money. Liquidating them at the right time gives them profit and doing so at the wrong time brings them loss. Whereas in forex trading, traders only trade one thing and that is currency. They buy and sell currencies currency against currency. The only commodity being traded in the foreign exchange market is currency. It is traded in pairs called the currency pairs. There are no restrictions and you can trade in the currency pairs of your own choice. Similarly, the traders from anywhere in the world can participate in the business and can make their fortune.

Another major difference between the two is the availability of number of trading units. In stock market, the traders have thousands of companies registered and they can buy and sell shares of any of those companies. They can research and come up with whatever they want to buy and sell. However, in foreign exchange, the currency pairs are limited and are already defined.
