A Baby Shower Gift Basket - Unique And Creative Ideas
|
If you are trying to decide on what type of present to bring to a baby
shower, a gift basket is a great idea. It allows you the opportunity to
decide upon a theme and then put a package together entirely based
upon that one idea. You can choose to color coordinate your items,
center them around a particular type of baby necessity, or even focus
on the sex of the child if it is already known. Gift baskets are a
fantastic way to show off your creative side.
For really unique gift baskets, try choosing an unusual item. For
instance, you could supply an entire present strictly made up of
different types of pacifiers. You could pick novelty ones like
Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Winnie the Pooh. Add to this
collection with a selection of color coordinated suckers. A grouping
of pink or blue tied together with a pretty ribbon would make a
lovely addition. If you can find one, a giant oversized soother to top
off your present would be perfect.
Another option is to consider for baby showers around special times
of the year is to consider holiday gift baskets. If the new child is due
around Christmas, the items in your shower gift basket can all center
around a holiday theme. Red and green bibs, Santa socks, snowmen
sleepers, and even Rudolph rompers would make for a very unusual
basket. Be careful with this type of theme though, so that the basket
does not end up becoming a Christmas basket and not a baby basket.
If the parents to be have expensive tastes, you can opt for a gourmet
gift baskets. High end baby food, organic crackers, and soy or
gluten free teething biscuits are all possible options. Add a package
of all natural diapers to the mix and you are sure to have a basket
that the parents will truly appreciate. Bring a package of gourmet
crackers, a brick of expensive cheese and a bottle of wine for the
attendees at the baby shower, and you are sure to be the belle of the
ball.
For more affordable gift baskets, you can try doing some of your
shopping at your local dollar store. Items like safety pins and color
coordinated plastic storage containers for the nursery are all
available at discounted prices. Avoid purchasing items that could
end up in the child’s mouth though. Unless you know specifically
that the materials used are all lead free and safe for children, items
that could be chewed on or sucked on should be avoided. For filler
items in your gift basket, you can add fun items such as coloring
books, or decorative items for their walls. Novelty signs, unique
switch plates for their light covers, or even colored light bulbs are all
available at most dollar stores.
With just a little bit of advance planning and forethought, you can
create a truly original gift basket for a baby shower. You do not
necessarily have to spend a great deal of money if you plan ahead
and shop accordingly. |
