Laser System – A Unique Tool

A laser is a device that emits light through the process of optical amplification based on the stimulated emission of photons. This emitted light is notable for its high degree of spatial coherence which is unattainable using other technologies.

Few decades ago, only mechanical techniques were used for industrial procedures such as cutting, marking and engraving. But these days, mechanical techniques are replaced by laser technology. This technology has grown out during the phase of 20 years which have marked a whole new period for industrial systems. Laser systems have developed an integrated laser workstation which is flexible in addressing the specific needs of each customer processes such as cutting, welding, marking, drilling and scribing. These systems offer state of the art integrated turnkey systems for the industrial and medical systems. These are cost-effective ways to increase a current system’s capabilities through upgrading equipment, changing out software and refurbishing parts. It is solely laser that has taken over the place of mechanical procedures. Any material can be cut using these systems ranging from aluminum, stainless steel and copper alloys.

In manufacturing industries, these systems are of indispensable value where they are used for laser marking, engraving and for cutting plastic and other materials. There are various types of laser systems that one can choose according to one’s needs and preferences.

Thus, these systems are the unique tools for harnessing the power of laser technology and are helping various industries and businesses to achieve their specialty material processing goals. Being a mechanism for emitting electromagnetic radiation via the process of stimulated emission, lasers emit light in a narrow, intense and low divergence beam. This property has made these systems perfect for use in environments where other methods have failed. There are many popular systems that not only offer greater power, flexibility and reliability but have also proven to be effective in processing a wide range of materials including paper, wood, glass, textiles, metals, rubber, plastics and more. These systems help in improved yields, higher throughput, increased production capability, reduced cycle time and strong return on investment.
