Using cleaning cartridges

The regular use of a printer in an office or home can result in the ink cartridges becoming clogged with dried ink. After a period of time, this clogging can affect the quality of the documents produced and eventually the printer can stop working, preventing the production of essential documents and other paperwork.
It is essential therefore that the printer is kept clean and dirt-free in order to keep copier operations at optimum level. Utilising a printer cleaning cartridge is one way of ensuring that printing equipment is kept in its best possible working order.
A cleaning ink cartridge is a cartridge which is filled with a cleaning solution which can flush out any dirt or debris which may be causing the obstruction or blockage.
It is essential that before the cleaning cartridge is inserted, the printer has been switched off and cooled down. The ink cartridge should be removed and the cleaning cartridge inserted in its place.
Depending on the type of printer being used and the cleaning cartridges inserted, the instructions may vary. Usually a printer will have a display option for cleaning the cartridge. Once this selection has been chosen, the cartridge will run through a cleaning cycle inside the printer and printer head releasing a cleansing solution which can dissolve the dried ink inside the machine.
Once the cleaning process has been completed, the everyday ink cartridge can be replaced and the cleaning cartridge can be removed. If this process is completed fully the printer should begin to operate properly again.
The thorough cleaning of printing equipment can help keep it running properly and will save on the costs of replacing the faulty printer.
