Candle Baskets Make Handy Presents

If you are like most people, you know someone who is moving, moving into a new house, new apartment, or new something. Each time you turn around it seems you are being invited to see some person's new home. This can make it a bit difficult to keep up with buying a homewarming present. It is difficult to know what to get people sometimes. One gift that may be a good option is candle collections.

Candle kits are very versatile presents. They can be big or small, personal or more impersonal. They can just be candles or other things can be added, the options are almost overwhelming. The first thing one should think about is whether to build your own candle set or buy a premade one. There can be advantages to both options. A prepackaged candle kit generally has very little in decisions to make other than what scent or theme the kit should be. There are baskets with holiday themes, fruit themes, and room themes. The baskets available are abundant and the scent assortments are even larger. Obviously a candle set has candles in it, but the type of candles can vary greatly. There are short, fat, thin, tall, oval and square and the list just goes on and on as to the type of candles one can receive in a present basket.

Making your own candle basket may seem like a lot of work, but generally it is fairly simple and a lot of fun. To start, pick a kit or container or a large candle to serve as the center of the project. Then once you have this main piece selected, decide on a theme. Pick a color, season, holiday, scent or something that ties every little thing you include together. Once you have that selection made, then you can start to accrue other candles, varying them by size and color around the centerpiece. Next you can add some candle related items such as a snuffer, a tart burner, some aromatherapy things or whatever else you wish. Finally every little thing is wrapped in cellophane and tied with a large bow.

By picking a present like candle baskets for a house warming present, you are bringing not only an innovative present but also an useful gift. Most everyone wishs and uses candles for something. Chances are they will not just sit in the closet and collect dust, but they will be set out for use at some point. Candle sets can also be as expensive or inexpensive as you choose to make them. If you are tight on money, you can generally find most everything you require to make an inexpensive basket up from supplies at the dollar store. So next time you need a gift for a homewarming, or any type gift, give it a try.
