How To Stop Panic Attacks!
|
A spontaneous panic or anxiety attack is exactly that it happens any were and at any time, this leaving you in an uncertain state of mind and leading to situational attack. When you have a panic attack in a certain place say a car or bus you link panic attacks with being closed in and confined. Making going on any kind of transport a big problem also being in any place that doesn't allow you to make a quick exit i.e. the pictures, sporting events, concerts e.c.t.
If you do happen to be exposed to one of these places you experience a panic attack or panicky sensations, not necessarily because you would have originally had a panic attack there, but because now you are in such a state of nervousness about exposure to that situation that you end up having an attack.
Before you realise the anxiety that you wouldn't usually have for any given situation is now happening in all kind of situations.
The fear now of finding yourself in a situation that is going to cause an attack in itself can cause an attack leading to a complete fear of almost everything that involves actually doing something so you become very unsociable with everyone and everything trying to avoid any given situation.
You wake up one morning and you have a full blown phobia on your hands and you don't know how you're going to stop it!
Here are some good tips to getting you started.
1. Take control. A panic attack is a condition that is linked to the mind not a physical thing this must be realised, the more you realise this the easier it becomes to overcome the attacks.
2. Easier said than done you say! Identify the main things that cause these attacks and deal with them, one at a time though once you deal with one the rest will follow.
3. Dont put yourself under too much pressure take things slowly as pressure leads to stress and stress will lead to a panic attack. Once you have learnt to deal with the situations that cause your attacks then you can increase your daily work load remember one step at a time.
4.Dont let anyone tell you any different what I mean is stay positive once you start to see results from what you doing stick with it don’t let anybody drag you back into your old state of mind.
5. Be consistent once you learn how to deal with any situation become a creature of habit with it so whenever a new problem arises you can deal with it without thinking.
Try some of these tips they take a bit to implement but they do work, remember take control it isn’t a disease you have it is just a temporary problem that you can sort out, stay positive and good luck.
