Husky Issues - Learn How To Fix Them

Every time he digs in his designated area, give him a reward. Eventually he will learn that this area is specially for him to dig in.
Another Husky issue is that they enjoy chasing anything that moves, especially anything that appears to be running away from him. It doesn't matter who or what's running from him. He will chase it, regardless of whether it's another family pet or the chickens you keep in your backyard. The real issue is when he is able to catch something he's chasing. Once he catches it, he is likely to kill it as well. The best solution to prevent any of this from happening is to ensure he receives proper training and obedience from a young age. If he is trained properly from early on, you won't have to worry as much with your Husky chasing other pets or wildlife.
Another Husky issue that may frustrate owners is howling. Your Husky could be howling as a result of discomfort, fear, or loneliness. If he howls while you are gone, then it is likely that he's afraid when you are not around and feels lonely. If this is the case, making sure you leave him with a few of his favorite toys, along with some food and water may work as a solution. You may also want to leave an item of clothing which has your scent on it with him. He won't have as strong of an urge to howl if you leave something with your scent on it because he will feel more comfortable and relaxed.
Even though Huskies can be great pets, you need to make sure you have a handle on any issues he has. Your Husky can be a wonderful companion as long as you are able to keep problems such as digging, chasing, and howling under control. By understanding the cause of the problem and solutions to fix them, you will save yourself a lot of headache and frustration because you will know what to do. |
