North India Tours: Explore The Vibrant Country

India– the land for all seasons welcomes its visitors with its unparalleled beauty and culture. The beauty of India has been praised by many a poet throughout the world. Towering Himalayas, serene coasts, magnificent architecture, and vibrant culture make it worth visiting. Snow- capped peaks of Himalayas, sun drenched sea-coasts, the gushing rivers, and wildlife sanctuaries make it an ideal tourist spot. From the golden meadows of Kashmir to the backwaters of Kerala, this land is a treasure house and thus it has gained fame in international arena.

In the northern region, it has one of the most picturesque states Kashmir, which Mughals aptly described as the “beautiful paradise on earth”. Cradled in the lap of mighty Pir Panjal and Himalayan mountains, this land of cherry blossoms, saffron fields and chinar trees appeals every eye and every soul. The world famous Mughal gardens are found here. The Mughals have the credit of building gardens from Tehran to Agra , but they reach excellence besides the tranquil waters of Dal Lake. Visitors can make short trips to Harwan garden,Chashma Shahi-garden of springs and Pari Mahal can be made to wrap up the Mughal gardens. Pari mahal with its intricate flowers and mosaic of bright lights makes an amazing sight in the evenings. From here, short pilgrimage travels can be made to Shankaracharya temple of Lord Shiva located 11,00 feet above the Srinagar city. The temple gets its name from philosopher Shankaracharya who visited Kashmir about 10 centuries ago.

Moving towards the plains, the next destination is Delhi, the capital of India. The city has seen the transition from the ancient grandeur to the heights of cosmopolitan culture. The city is recognized for the majestic monuments that are testimony to its glorious past. Various monuments, forts and parks found around the city are representations of the dynasties that have ruled over it. Short trips can be made to Qutub Minar, Humayun Tomb, Purana Killa ,Safdarjung Tomb and a few temples like Lotus Temple and Birla Mandir . However the most notable features about the city are its hospitality, the exquisite shopping and the finger-licking varieties of food.

The barren Deserts of Rajasthan offer a warm welcome to visitors- replete with people in colorful costumes, majestic forts and palaces and some of the most delicious food in the world. The sand dunes, desert safaris, the colorful tribal life, bird watching trips, fairs and festivals and the forts leave a regal impression on mind. Rajasthan was the home to Rajputs, the martial race who are known for their bravery and love of arts equally. The best known destination in Rajasthan is Jaipur and the first designed city of India and was founded in 1727 AD by Raja Sawai Jai Singh. The city was painted in pink in 1853 to welcome the Prince of Wales. And so the royal city came to be recognized as pink city. The old city fractions are still a cheery pink hue. The top tourist stops of this city are Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, Man Sagar Lake, Amber Palace and the Birla Planetarium.
