There are unique qualities to article marketing that allow it to still be a viable method to marketing just about anything. An important part of article marketing is submitting your articles to online directories so that you get backlinks and traffic to your site. Given below are a few article submission tips that you should keep in mind at all times.
No matter what your article is about, you are not allowed to use affiliate links in your articles when submitting to directories. Most article submission sites have a direct ruling against having affiliate links listed out in the article's content, and this is because the content you're submitting has to be non-commercial in nature. For example, if a reader comes across an article with two or three affiliate links, he/she will be instantly turned off by it. They know that the readers will not appreciate getting an implicit sales pitch while they are trying to read an article. Obviously, you do not want to knowingly do something that will guarantee your article is rejected.
Avoid taking really unwise shortcuts with your articles and what you decide to submit. There is such a complete difference between something like a press release and a real article - just do not do it. A press release distribution site is totally different from an article directory, so at least get that part right. If you are totally inexperienced, then you need to research article directories, there are tons of them, and then choose the ones you want to work with. Human reviewers at the article directories that do them, will know that you are trying to submit a press release and send it back to you. If you want the best results from your article marketing, then only write high quality content.
The article directories you choose to work with are up to you, but suggest you spread your articles around as much as possible. There is more to life than GoArticles and Ezinearticles, and of course you can do well with submitting to others, as well. We recommend you find out what else is out there because it will only help you directly as an article marketer. You have to decide if it is worth your time to do this, but you should at least investigate it for yourself. This means that getting a backlink from them can prove to be a big plus point for you as far as search engine ranking is concerned. Of course it is possible you may generate some traffic, but that is not the main reason involved with backlinking. Also, we do not think it is wise to put too many eggs in one basket, so marketing diversity is a good thing.
