Bacterial Vaginosis – A Permanent Curse?
|
Bacterial vaginosis, also known as vaginal bacteriosis and BV for short, is infamous for its recurring nature. This is one of the female health issues that seem to come back every time the patient thinks she is cured. And there are a number of cases in which the BV becomes recurring almost to a point of becoming chronic.
Is bacterial vaginosis fundamentally a bad curse? Is it incurable? Is it something that is going to haunt you for the rest of your life?
No – practically every case of BV is something that can be cured. Antibiotics are known to work, but they have their own limitations. Antibiotics simply kill the bad bacteria causing the issue, but does not fix the root cause. So if the root cause is not fixed then the BV would simply come back once the effects of the antibiotics are gone.
The root cause behind bacterial vaginosis is the changed level of acidity inside the vagina. The human vagina houses a number of breeds of good and bad bacteria. As long as the balance between these breeds is maintained, there is nothing to worry about. But the moment the pH value – the factor that determines the degree of acidity of the human vagina – deviates from the normal levels, the balance of bacteria distribution gets affected. And BV occurs if the pH stays at a level at which the BV bacteria can grow and sustain.
As you may have guessed by now, the key to permanent elimination is to maintain the right acidity inside the vagina. Once you hit the correct range of vaginal acidity, you would be safe. Your existing BV would go away since the environment is unfriendly for the bacteria. So no matter whether your BV is a new one or a recurring one, this is the only way you could get fundamentally cured rather than a spray-and-pray approach that is inevitable with conventional remedies. And the cure to BV would be permanent since the bacteria can not grow back.
The key question now is, how to maintain the right pH levels inside the vagina? Taking the natural route is the best option. There are ways to naturally cure bacterial vaginosis and that would permanently eliminate the problem. And that may be the best way forward for a person in the longer run to get rid of BV forever.
