All your former knowledge and research are put to waste, because you cannot seem to classify your baby as anything else but fussy. At times, you even think that the term fussy is even underrated to describe exactly how your baby drives you borderline crazy. You are worn out and exhausted, and there are times when you even wonder what you could have done nine months before if you knew that it would come to this. Though, make no mistake, you adore your baby, but cuteness aside, your baby evolves into this indescribable being that you wonder if they switched your baby with another back in the hospital, but you see your baby's eyes and know that he or she is yours, and you know you are stuck. There is no refunds, no fixing, and there is just a crying, hard-to-please infant in your hands. So what do you do exactly?
Before you lose it completely, lighten up. It is best to not fight fire with fire during those moments of hardships. For example, if your baby is wailing, you might want to not scream and cry all you want. It is greatly advised that you value yourself as well during this process, because the more you are stressed, the least likely you will be able to deal with your baby without feeling any needed frustration. Practice your relaxation techniques and then face the music. More often than not, the reason why some parents are aggravated by their 'fussy baby' is because they think that they should not give in to their baby's demands. Instead of being worried about 'spoiling' your baby, push it away from your mind. Giving into your motherly instincts to cuddle, nurse, and just always hold your baby is not a problem at all. Babies will never have enough of their parents' love and attention, especially when they are just beginning to know their world better. Your baby might seem controlling to you, what with all the specific needs that he or she wants, but if you can, try to put yourself in your baby's shoes. Unable to talk, a baby would use all the vocal range it has to communicate exactly what he or she needs -unmindful of your sleeping habits or routine. A baby, innocent and young as it is, is already a character that responds to different parenting styles -some of which that you may need to discover on your own.
Believe it or not, the best baby tips that you could ever know would come only from your personal experience. The internet can only help so much, your mother or in-law can only give you certain pointers, but it will all end up to you and your baby. Years from now, whether you have decided to experiment on practicing different parenting techniques by adding more babies to the family, or you know that one is more than enough, you will come to the point that you know that you are the only one who knows what is going on exactly with your child.
