Choosing the perfect wedding marquee

A popular choice for weddings is to hold the reception in a marquee if couples have access to space. Wedding marquee hire is simple and easy with professional teams setting up and advising you on the various choices to be made – having the experts to hand is reassuring during this stressful time leading up to what should be the most enjoyable day of your life. Often you will find that your marquee supplier also has great contacts with hotels, castles, country houses and farmers fields to provide you with access to a great location for your hire marquee.

There are several styles of wedding marquee for hire. The first is the aluminium framed marquees which are light weight but sturdy. There are the traditional marquees in canvas with a pole frame or newer PVC styles that people are more familiar with. There are smaller models called party tents or Capri tents also for the more intimate wedding; these are also popular in wedding marquee hire.

When deciding on the space requirements and the type of marquee you need to consider whether you will be putting it up next to a building or whether the marquee will be freestanding. If the former is your choice you will need a frame marquee. This also applies if the plot where you are holding the wedding is not flat or not grassed. For sloping or uneven floors you may need to add a suspended floor which will need a frame marquee to support it. This will create a smooth surface for you and your guests to sit at the table and later dance the night away.

If you have a large flat grassed area then the sky is the limit. Here at Premier Event Marquees we are experts at helping you choose the perfect wedding marquee to hire.
