A good approach is to use positive reinforcement by rewarding him with treats or praise for being quiet after a certain amount of time. By doing this he will learn that being quiet means being rewarded, giving him incentive not to growl. There is one method you should avoid using to fix his growling, and that is by using punishment. Punishment is something you should never use for other training in the first place and may even result in other problems. By using positive reinforcement to try and get your Husky to stop growling, you're essentially training him to not growl.
Growling is a natural instinct not only in Huskies, but all dogs. However, it can still be an issue even though it's a natural instinct. By understanding what may be causing your Husky to growl you will be able to discover ways to handle it, either through socialization or training. Both you and your Husky will be a lot happier in the future once you are able to fix his growling problem.
