Get to Know the Chinese Zodiac Dragon

Plenty and divers are the qualities that are found in those born under the Chinese Zodiac Dragon. The people under this sign are known for their sticking to truth and directness and are highly principled in their dealings with others. Due to this some people or individuals may find them a bit too abrasive and a bit too candid at times for comfort. Despite this, many are attracted to them due to their flamboyant personality and also high intelligence. Some find them a bit too pompous for their tastes though, as they can be quite selfish and opinionated in their remarks.

Those who saw life in the years 1940 and 2000 are born under the Metal Element. These individuals are known as warriors as they seek to fight for their causes with dignity, truthfulness and integrity. Doing so with a fanatical intensity these dragons are action oriented and waste no time in things they see as trivial or useless. They usually only make friends with those they deem as worthy and will not stoop down to a lower level, morally, mentally or socially when making friends.

People who celebrated their first year of birth in 1952 will be influenced by the water element. Water dragons are sometimes seen as the weakest in terms of temperament due to their high level of acceptance and understanding of others. One should not be fooled however as they are also highly acute and sharp when it comes to business matter, and this they do use to their greatest advantage.

The wood element rules over those who celebrated their days of birth on either 1904 or 1964. Inventors and explorers by nature due to the wood element, they will stop at nothing to answer their smallest query or interest. Thus it is not beyond them to dissect an idea or concept down to the minute details. Like all dragons they are also blessed with a sound business acumen.

Fire dragons are those that are born in the years of 1916 and 1976. Marked by great ambition and need for success they are the builders of empires and leaders of nations. Unfortunately they can be seen as a bit too bossy and also one with an ulterior motive, thus causing a lot of resentment and even hatred from peers and those who he or she comes into contact with.

Those that are considered aristocrats of the dragon sign are those born in 1928 and 1988. Taking much of the qualities of the fire dragon, they are more staid and stable and able to control their more negative tendencies. They have a wide variety of interests and have a large circle of admirers and friends.

NOTE: The Chinese Zodiac Astrology is the most well known of all Chinese Astrology system. In its most basic form, it simply takes the year of birth of a person and classify them into one of 12 animals namely the Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig. A person's traints and luck is 'read' based on the amimal sign. At a more advanced level the month, day and year of birth is also considered.
