Traffic Lights: Soon All The Lights Will Be Green

Many councils around the country, and indeed the government, are currently looking into the option of switching regular electrical traffic lights for the much more environmentally friendly solar-powered alternative. Whilst solar power is extremely cheap, totally renewable and easy to set-up, the initial outlay for changing so many traffic lights could be a huge, which raises an interesting point about just how good an alternative solar power is.
With councils being notorious for not wanting to spend more money than is absolutely necessary, the fact that changing so many is now a viable option shows just how much we could utilise solar power ourselves. Traffic lights are in some ways the most important lights we use on a day to day basis. Without them, there would be carnage, so if these can now be swapped for solar lights, then the chances are that every light we use can be switched for a solar alternative.

With solar powered garden lights you can choose for them to come on and off automatically or simply as and when you wish to use them meaning not only are they efficient and able to totally transform any house, but also wholly versatile too. Indoors, you can use anything from net lights to curtain lights to give you not only a special ambience, but also an efficient way to save yourself a whole lot of money. |
